Soccer Mania

Both kids played soccer this Fall. After three years of soccer, Trey has developed a genuine love for the sport that is evident both on and off the field. He is a great team player, and has proven to be very effective not only as defender but as a solid offensive player as well. He said he prefers the "mid-field action" which the photo below captures nicely. We look forward to seeing Trey back on the field this Spring.

 

Samantha has more of a love-hate relationship with the sport. After the second game, when she took a couple of shots to the belly, she declared she did not want to play soccer anymore. Of course we Pattersons finish what we start, so she would dress out for every game and eventually made it back onto the field. She surprised us all, because by the end of the season, she was eager to get back into the game, and said she might even play soccer this spring.
