Four Pieces From The Little Notebook

During the Christmas break, Uncle David F, on break from studying classical guitar at the Peabody Music Conservatory at Johns Hopkins, asked Trey if his piano teacher had taught him any Bach yet?  Although Trey had not learned Bach yet, this gave Trey an idea. He wanted to learn Bach for his recital.

Fast forward. The recital is this weekend, and Trey has taken initiative to be at the piano daily as the recital approaches. Just the other day he asked: "Mom, will you please remind me to practice once an hour, every hour." He does genuinely enjoy the music. Today, the local Symphony Quintet performed at his school, and he said he thought it was awesome.

Dance With Joy

Samantha recently had her dance recital. Her group did a unique performance to a book: MATISSE DANCE WITH JOY, a contemporary art book series using Henri Matisse's cut-paper art. Her dance teacher is reading the lyrics.
