It only took a few tries, but we did manage to get the whole "recipe/using new break maker combo" down. First loaf, well... was more dough than loaf since I managed to incorrectly install the bread pan. My second attempt actually looked like a loaf of bread (except for the burnt crust) but when sliced, revealed a doughy mess... Third time was indeed the charm. I am sure it was because Samantha was my helper. She is such a great helper!
Trey and Samantha seemed to enjoy the warm, fresh baked, gluten-free (GF) bread (Trey on GF diet to see if GI issues subside... 1 month in and jury still out). Trey is a great sport about the GF diet and is excited to try new receipes. Just yesterday he asked if we can make the recipe for the Gluten Free Chocolate Cake photographed so scrumptiously on an issue of LIVING WITHOUT, a magazine for people w/ food allergies and sensitivies! We'll keep you posted on that cooking adventure!!!

We may take same cooking adventure soon! That photo did look great, eh? We just tried a chocolate glaze from an older LW edition. Excellent!! Glad you got the breadmaker working!
